Super-premium performance road bikes without the super-premium price tag.

Nestled among the hills of East Sussex, Orro bikes have been developing and building some especially nice bikes since 2014, and selling them to discerning customers in the UK. Because Orro sell direct to dealer, rather than through a UK importer or distributor, their bikes are a little bit cheaper than you might expect. The performance, however, is only going to be greater than you’d expect.

STC carbon weave visible through the lacquer – this maximises the compaction during manufacture, reducing the quantity of resin used, minimising weight, optimising strength and stiffness.

Inspiral Cycles have been Orro dealers since 2016 and have always been impressed at the technology and their performance-first approach towards developing their latest bikes.

From the very beginning Orro’s focus on quality and performance has been clear. From their refusal to use open-source moulds for any of their carbon bikes, their insistence on the highest grades of carbon and layup – working in partnership with UK company SigmaTex to develop the best carbon fibre cloth to fulfil and exceed the unique requirements of carbon frame manufacture, their hands-on approach towards testing and refinement, and the way they don’t rush a product out to market to meet a pre-determined launch date – we love the way that this UK company is quietly and confidently creating absolutely world-class road bikes.

This is backed up by the reviews too.

When road.cc reviewed the Venturi STC aero road bike, they placed it as an equal among bikes that cost more than twice the price.

When road.cc reviewed the Terra C GRX800 gravel bike, they said it was only let down by having a press-fit BB and tyre clearance only for 42c to 44c tyres. From years of servicing Orro bikes in our workshop we can confidently state that the manufacturing and quality control issues that are the root cause of press-fit BB problems, are simply not an issue with any of Orro’s bikes. With tyre-clearance, we also feel that 42 or 44c tyres are ample. If you need more than this, then perhaps you should be on a 29er XC mountain bike?!

But the best reviews we’ve had, are from our customers that ride their Orro bikes week in, week out, and always seem to come back to us with smiles on their faces and tales of the places their bike has taken them.

And of course there’s our own experiences as riders. Among shop staff bikes, there are 4 Orro’s, they get ridden regularly and are very much loved. We’ve now supplied enough of these bikes and have serviced plenty that have been ridden further and faster than is reasonable. We know with confidence that Orro bikes aren’t just outstanding performance, they are built to last too.

ps: have you tried the coffee shop at Brancepeth Castle?

So yes, we love these bikes. But we love them because we know we can rely on them.
