At Inspiral Cycles, every day is a school day.

We don’t pretend to know it all. And in such a fast developing industry, with technological changes and advances happening every week, there’s absolutely no chance that any of us could know everything. We learn about the latest advances in much the same way that our customers do; from following the races, from watching our favourite YouTube channels, from reading magazines, from talking to other people, from trying stuff ourselves, but then we also have the knowledge that we’ve gained from countless hours of research, years of time served in the workshop, and courses that we’ve been on. This is our full-time job after all!

However, we have secret weapons. We have inquisitiveness! Curiosity! We are bike geeks. If there’s a question, we want to know the answer – and that’s our ultimate super-power – asking the right questions – tasking us to find the better answers. And at Inspiral Cycles it’s great to be part of a team where we’re all genuinely interested in finding solutions to problems (so long as it relates to bicycles!).

In our internet-enabled world where knowledge is cheap, the real skill lies in asking the right questions, and in being critical with the answers you get. Gary disappeared down this philosophical rabbit-hole last year, and came out holding a bicycle. A rather unique bicycle. Alicia at Pinkbike tells the story very well:

So while we’re super experienced bike nerds with a massive depth and breadth of experience, and we’re passionate about the technology at the very cutting edge of the sport, we’re also real people who’d love to have a conversation with you, about the type of cycling you do, about your experiences, and about how and where you ride your bike. From our vast resources we’ll have some nugget of wisdom that will help you to cycle further, faster, safer, in greater comfort and having more fun – but we also might be able to learn something from your experience that helps us to help someone else.

We often say that “every day is a school day”, and we like it that way too!
